Commenting on the appointments, Assaf Tayar, Managing Director and WESA Regional Lead at BCG Platinion, said:

“We are extremely excited to reinforce our leadership in three of our key markets, South America, Africa and Paris. Each of these hires will help take our digital services to the next level, ensuring our client are able to reap the benefits of digital transformation.”

Her experience will be vital in helping clients create the digital assets that will allow them to bring an agile, human-centric approach to their infrastructure.

Before taking on her current role, Chemla worked at SNCF Group, as Chief Executive Officer of e-Travellers Technologies – overseeing a division of 1,200 technical experts. Focused on digital mobility solutions, she brings a wealth of experience managing digital operations in multiple sectors, including transport, media and entertainment. Chemla also worked as Chief Technologies Officer, and as a member of the Executive Committee, for Deezer. In this role Chemla was responsible for transforming the technology department to ensure scalability, security and performance of the platform as the organisation looked to grow and reinforce its position as one of the world’s leading streaming music services.

Chemla said:

“BCG Platinion is an exceptionally exciting organisation; one that is experiencing a tremendous period of growth. It is fast moving, and already doing great things – choosing to be part of this was an easy decision.

“With a focus on using new and exciting technologies to deliver organisational transformation and industry-shaking change, BCG Platinion offers measurable and immediate impact – something that is beyond what many of its competitors can and, for customers, could be the difference between surviving and thriving in a volatile economy.”

Elsewhere, Ana Vieira has been brought into BCG Platinion’s Brazil office as a Managing Director. Operating from Sao Paulo, Vieira will help clients to manage large complex technology transformations and deliver instant business impact.

With over 25 years’ experience in technology, Vieira is an expert in the LATAM market and has helped multiple clients to achieve their business goal by selecting, adopting, scaling-out and managing their technology investments.

Commenting, Tayar said:

“Bringing Ana into our organisation is a fantastic step forward – for the region and our capabilities within this market. What she will add to our client’s experience is vital and her knowledge and experience will be a huge asset as we work together to continually improve and evolve our Latin American – and global – offering.”

Speaking on her new role, Vieira said:

“My long tenure at IBM has given me the opportunity to work in a number of different business units, and taking insight from each of them has provided me with a broad perspective on the technology sales process that I’m looking forward to applying at BCG Platinion.

“Given the scope of the organisation’s ambition and its focus on creating a collaborative and diverse culture, joining seemed a natural decision. I’m excited to get started, putting digital-thinking at the heart of the Sao Paulo offering and ensuring our clients have everything they need to deliver on their desired business outcomes.”

Now leading the Johannesburg office, Isme Oosthuizen’s appointment as an Associate Director will provide an extra level of support for clients in the region as they look to define their digital journeys.
