Dutch MacDonald is the Director of MAYA Design, the world-class design and innovation lab recently acquired by BCG Platinion. He leads a highly skilled team of designers, engineers, scientists and product managers who innovate at the intersection of information, technology and human-centered design. Before joining BCG, Dutch practiced architecture for more than 17 years, and now he brings an architectural approach to address digital challenges for people, organizations, and transformation technologies.
Dutch got his Bachelors in Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University, studied at the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne in Lausanne, Switzerland, and is a fellow of the Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence at the University of Pittsburgh. Dutch and his family love hiking with their dog Walnut, and sculling on the Allegheny river.
